Job description
- Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and career development.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of client-side features, infrastructure, and AI-powered features.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with PMs, designers, service engineers, data engineers, and business teams to deliver impactful solutions.
- Champion engineering best practices, improving performance, security, and scalability.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful project completion.
- Foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and customer obsession within the team.
- Enhance the Microsoft Store Fundamentals, ensuring a smooth, engaging, and intuitive experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
Preferred qualification:
- Solid background in software engineering, with expertise in languages such as C#, C++, XAML, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Proven experience in solving complex technical challenges and building full-stack solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with the Microsoft Store ecosystem and related technologies.
- Expertise in native Windows development (WPF, UWP, or WinUI).

Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
