This position is responsible for developing software that assesses system health, performs calibration verification, detects and isolates faults, and provides actionable corrective guidance to end users to restore operational readiness. You will work onsite in software development and lab environments, collaborating closely with hardware, systems, and integration engineers. Opportunities exist to support system testing and field integration activities. Occasional travel may be required.
What You Will Do
- Perform requirements analysis to define software features and functionality in alignment with system needs.
- Design, develop, and maintain non-real-time diagnostic software for Patriot system maintenance.
- Execute and document software testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and validation, to ensure software reliability and performance.
- Document software designs, development processes, and test results for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with software development standards, security protocols, and industry regulations.
- Light travel and off hours testing (2nd or 3rd shift) may occasionally be required.

Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.?, Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date, We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Software Developer to design, develop, test, and integrate software solutions supporting the Patriot System Maintenance Control and Diagnostics Team. This role goes beyond traditional software development - it requires a strong interest in understanding how complex hardware subsystems interact and translating that knowledge into intelligent diagnostic and calibration software ., * Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
- Experience in requirements analysis, software design, coding, testing, and integration.
- Proficiency in developing complex solutions and applications using Ada, C/C++, Java or other object-oriented programming language.
- The ability to obtain and maintain an interim secret U.S. security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or related industries.
- Familiarity with software development tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Git, Jenkins).
- Knowledge of radar systems or similar complex systems.
- Experience with software integration in complex systems.
- Knowledge of diagnostic software, predictive maintenance techniques, and data visualization tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in data analysis and algorithm development.
Benefits & conditions
The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
