Job description
We are seeking a System Administrator Level 2 to support the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise IT systems in a mission-focused environment. This role involves managing infrastructure across servers, storage, networking, and end-user systems while ensuring high system availability and performance.
The System Administrator will provide both Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, troubleshoot complex system issues, and work closely with internal teams to maintain reliable and secure IT operations. This position requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, operational environment., * Provide implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for IT systems
- Manage day-to-day system operations, including monitoring, performance tuning, and issue resolution
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (escalation) support for system and hardware issues
- Diagnose and resolve issues across client, server, storage, and network devices
- Assist users with accessing and utilizing IT systems
- Configure and manage UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems
- Install, configure, and maintain operating system software and system components
- Monitor system performance and optimize resource utilization
- Perform system capacity analysis and planning
- Support escalation processes and communicate system status to stakeholders
- Troubleshoot hardware issues and coordinate resolution efforts
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback on escalated issues
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- OR equivalent relevant experience
- 10+ years of experience supporting IT systems and infrastructure
- Experience administering Windows and/or UNIX/Linux operating systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network systems
- Experience providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support in an enterprise environment
- Familiarity with system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment, * Experience supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure environments
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies and distributed systems
- Experience with system automation or scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell)
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting techniques
- Experience working in secure or mission-critical environments
