Job description

  • Architect, design, and oversee implementation of enterprise-grade cloud solutions across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
  • Lead cloud integration efforts within existing, complex infrastructures, ensuring minimal disruption while enabling modernization.
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, and security teams to implement scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud architectures.
  • Evaluate current environments and remediate architectural deficiencies caused by prior implementations.
  • Drive practical application of best practices, balancing ideal design with operational realities and mission requirements.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership during migrations, transformations, and ongoing cloud operations.
  • Establish governance, standards, and automation strategies that support continuous delivery in high-change environments.
  • Mentor internal teams and promote knowledge transfer to strengthen in-house cloud capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5+ years in enterprise cloud architecture roles.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and operating cloud environments in large, complex organizations with frequent change cycles.
  • Proven ability to integrate new solutions into existing systems, rather than building only greenfield environments.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with major cloud platforms, especially AWS (including GovCloud environments).
  • Direct experience working in AWS GovCloud (US) supporting government or regulated workloads.
  • Deep understanding of networking, security, identity, and compliance in enterprise cloud environments, including FedRAMP or similar frameworks.
  • Experience troubleshooting and remediating poorly implemented cloud architectures.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Active clearance

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (required)
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (required)
  • One or more of the following preferred but strongly desired:
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional
  • AWS Certified Security - Specialty
  • AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty
