PUBLIC TRUST Sr. Consultant: OpenShift Virtualization

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Senior Consultant with deep expertise in OpenShift Virtualization to support secure, enterprise-scale modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate holds an active SEC-eligible Public Trust clearance (or higher) and brings 6+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies. This role requires 3-4+ years of direct OpenShift experience, with a strong emphasis on OpenShift Virtualization, including planning and executing migrations of traditional virtual machine workloads into OpenShift environments while ensuring performance, security, and operational continuity. The Senior Consultant will lead and support DevOps and platform automation efforts, leveraging 3+ years of experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or similar, and applying GitOps principles for declarative configuration, version-controlled infrastructure, and automated environment management. The role involves close collaboration with engineering teams and stakeholders to design scalable architectures, troubleshoot complex platform issues, and provide expert guidance on best practices for hybrid VM and container platforms. Nice-to-have qualifications include experience with VMware or other virtualization technologies, as well as familiarity with Ansible and other Red Hat technologies to enable automation, configuration management, and repeatable platform operations., * Active Public Trust Clearance (or higher)

• 6+ years of overall experience in Kubernetes and Containerization technologies

• 3-4+ years of experience with OpenShift, including:

? Experience with OpenShift Virtualization

? Experience migrating VMs to OpenShift

• 3+ years of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, etc) and DevOps experience

• 3+ years of GitOps Experience - Experience with VMware or other virtualization technologies

Experience with Ansible or other Red Hat technologies
