Requirements
Schultheis & Panettieri, LLP is looking for a full-time IT Network/Desktop Support Technician to service our medium sized accounting firm. The right candidate will exhibit a positive attitude while taking responsibility for providing timely service and support to our Staff. IT support will include desktop support and network administration on Microsoft-based servers, workstations, firewalls, backups and all associated hardware and software. This position will allow you to hone your project management skills by participating in the new project life-cycle from inception including the research, design, documentation, configuration, and execution of the projects. The prospective candidate must be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and will be expected to continue developing their skills while servicing our staff in our Hauppauge or Floral Park offices., * AS or BS Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology a plus, * 1+ years' experience in a similar role providing desktop/network administration support
Skills Knowledge of:
- Windows Server Operating Systems
- Firewalls, Routers, and other network devices
- Network Server technology and infrastructure.
- Microsoft Office Suite and other standard desktop applications
- Managed Services software. (NinjaRMM, Connectwise)
- Backup technologies and Antivirus applications (Datto, Webroot)
- Group Policy and Active Directory
- Microsoft Hyper-V - VMware Virtualization Solutions.
- VPN environments including DNS, and TCP/IP
- Ability to continually adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, highly rewarding environment.
- Ability to independently analyze problems and provide workable solutions
- Excellent communication skills
- Exhibits patience and enjoys assisting end users
