Job description

Oracle Health Data Intelligence is growing and looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the HealtheIntent - Identity Services team! This development team builds Personnel, Organization and Consumer services which are the base of the security models of the HealtheIntent Platform. These models serve to build the foundation of personnel related processing (such as scorecards, dashboard statistics), as well as to serve to help answer access questions, to both data and applications. This team builds tools and services for HealtheIntent clients who need to manage the attributes and relationships of the people and organizations affecting the health of their population. A service framework providing easy to access, responsive, scalable management via APIs and performant tooling for creation and maintenance of personnel, organizations, or consumers.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

Design, develop, fix, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture. Work involves problem solving, understanding and applying company policies and processes.

Requirements

  • High level of fluency with Ruby on Rail or Java
  • Proficient in object-oriented programming and MVC architecture
  • Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs
  • Expertise in writing well-modularized, maintainable software.
  • Experience in DevOps technologies such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, Spinnaker, Maven etc.
  • Experience building cloud-based platforms that enable application design, development, testing, and distribution.
  • Excellent communication skills in both technical and non-technical contexts

Knowledge of:

  • Knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles
  • Knowledge of software engineering standard methodologies across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Familiarity with technologies and design concepts around Big Data Processing and Relational Databases such as: ETL, Hadoop Ecosystem, structured data, SQL schemas and queries etc.
  • Familiarity with micro-services architecture, * U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a Federal Security Clearance
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience

Benefits & conditions

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,200 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
