Proven performance by a trusted, award-winning solutions provider and partner., ALEX is hiring a Military Performance Management (PfM) Analyst with a Marine Corps operational background to join an existing team supporting USMC Training and Education Command (TECOM). This analyst will execute a comprehensive data exploitation process within the customer organization, using both traditional and technology-enabled data analytics skills and advanced tools to mine and collect information in order to deliver follow-on analytics-based products to TECOM leadership., * Daily meetings and coordination within the customer's section/branch/division and other TECOM/USMC Offices of Primary Responsibility (OPR).
- Weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, regular and on-call briefing products, and oral briefings.
- Produce documents or presentations (written or oral) must meet strict quality standards for accuracy, timeliness, and completeness.
- Facilitate or lead discussions with various Working Group members as well as conduct liaison with stakeholder organizations throughout various levels of the service.
- Infrequent CONUS travel outside the Washington DC/Quantico, VA area.
Requirements
The Military PfM Analyst must be prepared to mine or collect relevant information from large datasets and apply the analytical rigor necessary to identify performance trends, graphically visualize these trends, and prepare the briefing products or correspondence for senior leadership review and decision support., * A diverse mix of experience with Performance Management (PfM) activities and PfM implementation within the private sector and/or within the US Department of Defense (DoD), or both.
- Must have DoD military experience with minimum of 10+ years of progressive leadership and management responsibilities. Military experience shall include time served at senior-staff /major command staff level positions.
- Strong written and oral communications skills are required to compile, analyze, and synthesize large volumes of complex data, then concisely describe this synthesis via briefing presentations or discussions with senior leadership.
- Experience accessing and communicating through the Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRnet)., * Ability to work independently, have excellent communication and analytical skills, and possess experience in tracking processes through to completion.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel to include advanced features (formulas, data filters, macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, graphing, data connections, and automation) using macros and VBA, and other MS Excel data management advance formulas as well as familiarity with other modern analytical tools.
- Experienced in the use of all other Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint, and with various Department of Navy web-based databases and search engines.
- Interface frequently and regularly with the ALEX Data Science Team, to develop technical proficiency and employ available ALEX AI/ML tools or other government approved tools in support of this contract.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Former U.S. Marine Corps military experience preferred.
- Background in USMC occupational fields MOS fields related to Ground Combat Element, such as infantry, artillery, armor, combat engineer etc.
- Recent TECOM/HQMC section staff-level experience preferred.
- Experience with USMC SharePoint is a plus.
Education, Certifications, and Clearance:
- Bachelor's degree with a background in engineering, statistics, or management-related fields a plus.
- Secret Clearance required.
