Requirements
Apache NiFi,Application Development,SQL Databases, 8 + years of related experience, * Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
- Experience: 8+ years
- Required skills:
- Proven experience developing, customizing, and using applications for analytical purposes.
- Hands-on experience with cloud microservices and tools (e.g., S3, RDS, EC2).
- Experience managing SQL databases in cloud-based environments, including creating new schemas, mapping across MySQL and PostgreSQL systems, and improving data discovery processes.
- Experience developing operating system-level scripts to perform ETL operations on SQL databases.
- Proficiency with version control systems, especially Git.
- Experience using containerization technologies such as Docker, or building and deploying containerized applications and databases.
- Working experience with Anaconda, Bash, and Terraform for development workflows.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git/GitHub, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence.
- Experience with automated testing and automated deployment of infrastructure or configurations.
- Experience administering, provisioning, and using cloud technologies (e.g., AWS), with emphasis on applying data science approaches in cloud environments.
- Experience optimizing connectivity between cloud services and on-premises high-performance compute servers.
- Experience developing and maintaining system and architectural documentation.
- Experience provisioning and managing cloud compute resources and services (AWS, Azure, or comparable platforms).
- Professional proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Python, and Java.
- Location: McLean, VA (On Customer Site)
- Desired skills:
- Formal education or experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong ability to organize and structure solutions for complex technical problems.
- Excellent coordination and collaboration skills.
- Experience supporting analytic mission areas, including research into analyst workflows and user needs.
- Experience assisting data scientists with model development, including fine-tuning, transfer learning, and building models for classification, prediction, generative AI, or similar tasks.
- Experience optimizing deployment of AI models in cloud environments.
- Experience integrating cloud servers with Tableau for visualization output.
- Experience with the sponsor's data management lifecycle.
- Ability to balance and prioritize multiple competing tasks.
- Experience with distributed computing, including designing and implementing parallel processing solutions.

The likely salary range for this position is $155,550 - $210,450. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
