Job description
We are hiring two hands-on Delivery Release Managers who will sit within Technology and own the mechanics of delivery across product teams and co-supplier application groups. This is not an administrative PM role. You will create real visibility into where delivery stands, what's at risk, and how we get to a path-to-green - then drive teams to execute. You will also help transition from manual PowerPoint/Excel status to live dashboards (e.g., Jira, Octane) and ensure every release is coordinated, auditable, and production-ready under big-bank governance., * Own cross-team coordination across internal product teams and co-supplier apps; keep dependencies aligned through design, build, test, and release.
- Run the release calendar end-to-end: environments, cutover readiness, change control, and production checkpoints.
- Increase delivery visibility: build/curate dashboards today they are using one page PowerPoints. It would be nice to have some experience in any the following to help better drive easier visibility specifically in a Jira Dashboard but not required (Jira/Octane/ServiceNow/Clarity) to replace manual one-pagers; communicate current truth vs. stale status.
- Risk & path-to-green: detect drift early, quantify impact, and drive remediation plans with clear owners, dates, and evidence.
- Testing coordination (not execution): align test timelines across applications; track script counts, weekly execution, defect trends, and readiness signals.
- Governance & compliance: follow and enforce SDLC, change, and audit controls; ensure a clean evidence trail (SOX/operational risk).
- Stakeholder leadership: influence engineers, test leads, product owners, architects; escalate decisively when commitments slip.
- Continuously improve: evolve the operating model, reporting, and ways of working to reduce friction and increase velocity.
Requirements
- 7+ years in Release Management / Delivery Coordination for complex, multi-system programs for financial services.
- Proven ability to connect technical dots, surface risk early, and drive remediation to closure.
- Strong experience with SDLC governance or similar change control in regulated environments (audit-ready releases).
- Tooling fluency for delivery insight: Today they use PowerPoint and Jira (and/or Rally), dashboards, status automation; ability to turn data into clear, consumable views.
- Excellent communication, escalation judgment, and executive-ready status reporting.
- Ownership mindset leads proactively without waiting for direction., * Banking experience; core/mainframe + SaaS integrations; vendor programs (e.g., Zafin).
- Familiarity with Micro Focus/ALM Octane for test case management; awareness of Tricentis Tosca context.
- Background in test coordination (without being a test executor).
