Job description

  • Maintain and enforce Spectrix's written information system policy.
  • Address cybersecurity issues daily, including monitoring threats and implementing protective measures.
  • Maintain and update hardware inventories to ensure accurate records and efficient asset management.
  • Coordinate with Spectrix's remote support team for advanced troubleshooting and technical escalations.
  • Manage Spectrix's server operations and backup policies to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Oversee onsite security protocols for IT systems and physical hardware.
  • Address email security concerns, including spam filtering, phishing detection, and user awareness.
  • Manage the employee training platform, including scheduling, tracking progress, and providing support.
  • Conduct phishing testing, distribute notices, and provide guidance to employees regarding cybersecurity best practices.
  • Support Spectrix's employees with computer hardware and software, email, cybersecurity, backup, and other IT related concerns.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Threat detection & response?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or similar.

  • 0-2 years of experience as an IT support specialist.
  • Experience in IT support, cybersecurity, and systems administration.
  • Familiarity with hardware inventory management and server maintenance.
  • Ability to determine IT needs and train end-users.
  • Strong knowledge of information system policies and compliance.
  • Experience in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in IT support.
  • Exceptional ability to provide technical support and resolve issues.
  • Ability to work independently onsite in North Haven, CT.
  • Experience with employee training platforms and phishing simulation tools is preferred.
