Job description

This position will primarily be responsible for managing console software projects across our cardio and strength product lines. This person will have a passion for being part of an Agile development team, participating in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, focusing on making the team more efficient, and productive through quality software best practices., * Participating in requirement facilitation for Console Software team

  • Translating functional requirements to technical requirements, understanding dependencies across APIs, Mobile, and Web to ensure each release is on time with proper functionality
  • Coordinating deployments and release plans
  • Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
  • Managing stakeholder communication
  • Participating in solution design
  • Guiding the team on self-organizing to fill in the gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks
  • Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment
  • Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Supporting and educating the Product Owner and the Software team, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog
  • Facilitating scrum meetings, sprint planning sessions and retrospective meetings
  • Leading the process of forecasting, planning, estimation
  • Producing metrics and reports for management
  • Driving ongoing Agile process improvements

Requirements

  • Min 3-5 years of experience in building software solutions in development role
  • Deep experience in AGILE development, SCRUM and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
  • Technical BS degree, Computer Science or Math background highly desired
  • ScrumMaster certification received or in progress
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Rosemont, IL and the actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.This position is eligible to participate in Life Fitness / Hammer Strength's annual Manager Incentive Plan to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of bonus varies based on company and individual performance goals and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
