Job description
Provide warfighters with reliable strike planning and execution tools for Theater Missile Programs while modernizing and expanding beyond Tomahawk missiles. Our work includes developing and maintaining proprietary software, offering full lifecycle support from design to deployment, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards., Peraton is looking to hire a Scrum Master to help modernize the Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) while ensuring the reliability of today's operational system. TMPC is the mission planning and execution component of the Tomahawk Weapon System (TWS). This role will have the ability to be a hybrid role but work primarily on-site in Santa Clara, CA or Reston, VA., * Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
- Coach team in Agile methodologies and Scrum best practices to foster self-organization, continuous improvement, and high performance
- Support the Product Owner in managing the product backlog, ensuring it is clear, prioritized, and ready for upcoming sprints
- Work with cross-functional teams to remove impediments and challenges that are hindering progress
- Foster a collaborative team environment and encourage open communication between team members, stakeholders, and leadership
- Track and report team progress and performance metrics using Agile tools (e.g. Azure Dedvops), and ensure the team meets agreed-upon goals and time-lines
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase team efficiency and effectiveness
- Act as a liaison between teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and clear communication of expectations and priorities
Requirements
What you'll need:
- Experience: 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years in lieu of a degree
- Clearance: US Citizenship required and active DoD Secret clearance
- Understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and Scrum principles.
- Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching teams on Agile practices.
- Proficiency with Agile Project Management Tools (e.g. Azure DevOps)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to remove impediments and resolve conflicts that may arise within teams.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to pro-actively address challenges in a collaborative manner.
Benefits & conditions
Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
