Job description

  • Perform activations, deactivations, installations, relocations, and upgrades of equipment and services in accordance with customer requirements and JSP guidelines. Ensure all tasks are completed within the defined scope and timeframe.
  • Adhere to JSP's change management process for tracking and executing MACs via service request tickets. Collaborate with stakeholders to accommodate voice, video, and data requirements while maintaining accountability and traceability.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis on recurring problems related to MACs, networks, and systems. Provide insights and recommendations for improvement, contributing to the Monthly MAC Report.
  • Utilize tracking systems to monitor MAC requests and make progress accessible to customers and government oversight. Ensure transparency and accountability throughout the MAC process.
  • Respond to, coordinate, and manage all Change Requests for additions, removals, and modifications to Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) maintenance coverage. Prepare, submit, and track CRQ approvals, ensuring compliance with configuration and change management processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of MAC activities in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and prepare monthly summary reports detailing MAC locations, timelines, and statuses.
  • Follow established change and configuration management policies and processes to ensure appropriate change control and asset accountability.
  • Treat customer requests outside the scope of MACs as new project Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) requests. Coordinate with relevant teams to address and fulfill these requests effectively.
  • Provide additional effort for Voice MACs, including Line Provisioning and Phone deployment. Ensure standard MAC metrics, timeframes, and deliverables are met, meeting the requirements of Pentagon and other NCR locations under JSP purview.
  • Engage with customers to gather and verify requirements, document changes, and input them into billing systems accurately. Coordinate access and deploy phones, ensuring full operational functionality and customer satisfaction.
  • Support migration from TDM to VoIP services in authorized locations, ensuring seamless transitions and adherence to protocols.
  • Program call tree and Interactive Voice Response functionality on the Automated Call Distribution System (ACDS), contributing to overall system functionality and efficiency.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years' experience
  • Certifications:
  • BICSI Installer certification
  • Fiber Optics Installer (FOIC)
  • Clearance: Must possess Top Secret/SCI clearance, While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, feel, touch; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 10 pounds.
