Job description

Design, build, and support transaction management applications across check processing, adjustments, remittance, and reconciliation workflows for the Finance Domain. The person will bridge technical teams and end-users, addressing business needs through innovative solutions and enhancing member or internal user experiences., * Design, develop, test and optimize high-quality applications and/or COTS products using various programming languages, APIs, and automated testing frameworks

  • Partner with product, operations, business, and vendors to analyze defects, production incidents, and root causes, and deliver timely fixes
  • Implement and enhance automation solutions with the use of AI to reduce manual processing, improve controls, and increase processing efficiency
  • Ensure solutions meet security, audit, risk, and compliance requirements, including access controls, data integrity, and security controls
  • Lead release planning, deployments, and change management, including validation and postrelease support
  • Build and execute automated test suites utilizing enterprise tools and framework; Create test data strategies and validation mechanisms for complex financial scenarios
  • Implement solutions that adhere to industry best practices and organizational coding and design standards
  • Conduct and participate in peer reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to maintain a high-quality solution
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to application functionality, performance, and bugs; escalate as required
  • Participate in team projects and initiatives, contributing to collective success and continuous improvement
  • On-call support when needed

Requirements

Individuals in this role will work on multiple highly complex systems and require in depth technical knowledge of COTS implementation approach and have experience of cloud and distributed technology stack. In this role, the candidate will be expected to work on multiple initiatives and be able to collaborate in multiple engagements across the product teams.

Person would be responsible for delivering professional level technical work in support of the development, testing, and support of applications, tools, platforms and services. The person would need to operate within established methodologies, procedures, and guidelines and apply knowledge of principles and techniques to solve technical problems. Work is self-directed and not prescribed. The candidate must be experienced in various architecture patterns, have participated in the full Software Development Life Cycle (requirements, Design, Development, Deployment, and Support) and Agile SAFe methodologies, be able to communicate solution requirements and architecture with technical and non-technical Stakeholders, and possess outstanding communications skills. The person would also engage with various stakeholders to research and provide evidence related to IT audit questions and observation raised by Risk teams.

  • 5+ years of experience in application engineering and test automation
  • Experience in building and maintaining applications in common platforms (e.g., Service Now, Pega, Share point Online, MuleSoft, and Dynamics 365.)
  • Knowledge of software development principles, methodologies (including Agile/SAFe/CICD), application security, Cloud technology, and Azure DevOps
  • Experience with programming languages and development tools, such as SQL, Python, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS, with exposure to modern frameworks and libraries
  • Knowledge of database structures, web technologies, and technical applications
  • Advanced Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with functional, regression, integration, performance and automated testing methods
  • Strong Written and verbal communication skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Technical experience with Remittance Processing, Document Management, and Check Operations applications
  • Knowledge of banking/financial industry trends, products, and services
  • Knowledge of Navy Federal products, services, programs, policies, and procedures
