Job description

We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Data Architect / Migration Expert to design and execute enterprise-wide data architecture and migration strategies. The role focuses on modernizing legacy data systems, enabling seamless data migration (on-premise to cloud or system-to-system), and ensuring scalable, secure, and high-quality data solutions., * Define enterprise data architecture and migration roadmap

  • Lead end-to-end data migration initiatives (assessment, design, execution, validation, and cutover)
  • Analyze legacy systems and design target data platforms (data lakes, warehouses, cloud environments)
  • Develop data models, integration frameworks, and data governance standards
  • Oversee ETL/ELT processes, data transformation, and reconciliation
  • Ensure data quality, security, compliance, and integrity during migration
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies for migration projects
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and cost of data solutions
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to data teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or migration projects
  • Strong expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and data lake architectures
  • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools and data integration
  • Proficiency in SQL and programming languages (Python, Java, or Scala)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Knowledge of database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.)
  • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, * Experience with large-scale cloud migration or modernization programs
  • Knowledge of platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery
  • Familiarity with real-time/streaming data technologies (Kafka, Spark)
  • Certifications in cloud or data architecture
  • Experience with data catalog and metadata management tools, * Strategic thinking and solution design
