Job description

Bridge the gap between software development and IT operations to accelerate delivery and improve system reliability. Automate, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, manage infrastructure, and ensure high-quality software releases through monitoring and security for the Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL) at Applied Research Laboratories., * Design, build, and maintain production and development CI/CD pipelines.

  • Provision and manage on-premise infrastructure.
  • Create, optimize, enhance, and operate build and release automation infrastructure, testing frameworks, reporting, and tools.
  • Guide collaboration efforts between cross-functional teams to develop processes that reduce obstacles to high-quality software delivery.
  • Integrate security practices early in the development cycle, including automated vulnerability scanning and compliance checks.
  • Other functions as assigned., The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length., Employees may be required to report violations of law under Title IX and the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act). Requirements

  • Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field.
  • Three years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to create, optimize, and operate build and release automation infrastructure, testing frameworks, reporting, and tools.
  • Applicant must have a demonstrated ability to follow coding standards and testing standards.

Applicant must have a dynamic skill set, willing to work with new technologies, be highly organized, capable of planning and coordinating multiple tasks, and managing their time. This position will require attention to detail, effective problem solving, sound engineering judgment, and good communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and with sensitive and confidential information, maintain a professional demeanor, work as a team member without day-to-day supervision, and effectively communicate with all groups of clients. Applicant must be able to work under pressure and accept supervision with regular and punctual attendance., * Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.

  • Demonstrated knowledge in some of the following: C#, Python, JavaScript, C/C++, Java, Robot Operating System(ROS)
  • Database: Oracle, MSSQL, MYSQL, PostgreSQL
  • Source Control: Git
  • Artifact Repository: Artifactory
  • Network: SSH, SCP, FTP, HTTP(S), TCP/IP, STIG compliance, firewall/iptables setup.
  • Scripting: Bash, Perl, Powershell, YAML, Python
  • Operating System: LINUX (Redhat, Ubuntu), Windows
  • Software Builder: MSBuild, CMake, Conda
  • Infrastructure: VMWare
  • Cloud Platforms: Amazon Web Services.
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Candidate will need to obtain a CompTIA Security+.

Salary Range

$104,000-$174,000+/negotiable depending on qualifications, * Standard office conditions
