Job description
- Core responsibility: develop new user-facing experiences on Roblox that allow players to customize their avatars in new and exciting ways
- As needed: add new features to the Roblox app (Luau/React) and build upon the game APIs used by third-party developers to customize player avatars (C++)
- Be an active participant in the direction and development of the team's roadmap & strategy
- Collaborate closely with other engineers and cross-functional partners (product, design, art) in the Avatar and Marketplace teams
Requirements
- A track record of quality game(s) on the Roblox platform (very strong plus)
- Roblox / Luau development experience (strong plus). Alternately, experience in other game engineers such as Godot / Unity / Unreal / etc. is a plus
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Experience working with cross-functional partners, including Producers & 3D Artists
- C++ experience (a plus but not required)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.
Annual Salary Range
$196,750-$243,290 USD
Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
