Web Designer / UI/UX design / Frontend Developer

Visa: OPT / GCEAD / GC / USC / H4EAD Mandates: Compliance with HIPAA, ITS Security Agreements, and confidentiality policies Ensure UI compliance with WCAG accessibility standards One State Government Porject Position Overview: This role will support Legacy Risk Remediation Projects for OMH, focused on modernizing legacy applications into new, supported platforms. The candidate will be responsible for UI/UX design, prototyping, and accessibility compliance across multiple applications., * Design and develop user interfaces based on business requirements

• Build wireframes and prototypes using tools like Figma
• Create UI mockups and present to stakeholders
• Provide HTML/CSS prototypes for development teams
• Ensure UI compliance with WCAG accessibility standards
• Work with NYS Design System for consistency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (BA, Dev, QA, PM)

• UI/UX design for web-based applications (W3C, WCAG standards)
• Experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Balsamiq, UXPin
• Experience building and demonstrating UI prototypes
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design
• Experience with Jira or similar tracking tools
• Experience with TFS / Azure DevOps / Visual Studio
• Experience troubleshooting browser compatibility and styling issues
• Experience designing applications handling HIPAA / PHI data

Additional Requirements:

• Strong experience with accessibility (WCAG AA standards)
• Experience working in government or healthcare environments preferred
• Mandatory compliance with HIPAA, ITS Security Agreements, and confidentiality policies
