Job description

Mercury Systems is seeking an Senior Principal Systems Engineer to develop the next-generation of Mercury's industry-leading edge processing solutions. In this role, you will be supporting embedded system RF, Mixed Signal and Electronic Warfare product lines. You'll be working in a matrix organization leading multi-disciplined engineering teams while collaborating with program management, business development, operations, supply chain, and executive leadership to meet customer needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Science degree or higher in a STEM (Science, Technology, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Electrical Engineering) discipline.

  • Typically requires 12 years of Systems Engineering experience working with high-performance embedded processing systems spanning capture, design, integration, verification and validation.

  • Experience with RF and Mixed Signal, ADC and DAC, heterogenous (FPGA and SoC) processing applications.

  • Experience executing System Engineering activities such as translating stakeholder needs in the form of operational concept development, functional/physical architecture definition, requirements development, interface definition, verification and validation, technical baseline management, and transition to production.

  • Experience leading Systems Engineering execution as part of an IPT throughout the complete program lifecycle.

  • Experience working with Business Development providing technical leadership, developing bids for capture, and writing technical/management volumes.

  • "This position requires you to have or can obtain a government security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens."

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline.

  • Active DoD Secret clearance.

  • Familiarity with high-performance RF and digital processing solutions as applied to radar and Electronic Warfare systems.

  • Familiarity with high-speed sensor processing chain.

  • Familiarity with System Security Engineering principles.

  • Applied experience with Model Based Systems Engineering, with Cameo Enterprise Architect and SysML modeling.

  • Experience with Jama, Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket.

  • Earned value management Cost Account Management.

  • Ability to work multi-disciplined engineering problems and foster collaboration across functional application boundaries.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to travel, up to 20% of the time.
