We are seeking highly cleared professionals who excel at the intersection of advanced communications infrastructure, distributed systems, and mission assurance-where reliability, security, and performance are paramount.

Specifically, we are looking for aTS/SCI cleared Systems Engineer - Journeyman to support this mission at Pope Army Airfield, North Carolina., As a Systems Engineer - Journeyman you will provide technical and management leadership for all equipment and information support functions across the Task Order. Your responsibilities include: Performs independent system setup, configuration, integration, and verification for complex C2ISR hardware and software components at various on-site locations.

  • Develops and implements technical solutions to address real-time operational challenges and technological requirements encountered during on-site deployments.
  • Provides advanced on-site engineering capabilities, including expert technical insights for rapid response and mission-focused technical support across diverse mission environments.
  • Manages rapid, globally deployable support for installations, pre-deployments, deployments, and crew change-out activities for C2ISR systems.
  • Executes integration and troubleshooting of security aspects of existing/new ISR data feeds into AISR-DT dissemination systems and Cross Domain Solutions (CDS).
  • Conducts on-site system performance assessments and diagnostic tests, identifying root causes and implementing solutions to ensure proper system functionality.
  • Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., network engineers, cybersecurity) to integrate systems and ensure seamless data flow.
  • Develops and refines documentation for on-site configuration procedures, checklists, and post-installation verification reports.
  • Utilize the following TO Management & Financial Tracking Tools: Task Order portal; Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate); G Invoicing API; ASSIST portal integration; variance analysis dashboards; MS Project; Primavera; GFP management modules; WBS tracking systems; ServiceNow; Jira Service Desk; automated RIP/CTP/TAR workflows; SharePoint libraries; Confluence; Microsoft Search; lessons learned databases; video library repositories; eMASS, Archer GRC; internal audit portals; Excel/SharePoint audit templates; CMDB with version control; Power BI with R/Python integration; Tableau; predictive analytics engines; Teams; Azure AD role based access; mobile access via Power Apps.
  • Utilize the following Role Specific Tools: Systems Integration Lab (SIL); Tri Domain Lab (IL4/IL5/IL6 enclaves with VRF routing, FIPS 140 3/HAIPE crypto, PTP/GPSDO time sync); Golden Test Packs; Test Readiness Review (TRR) frameworks (test matrix, golden data hashes, SLO compliance charts, rollback plans); CI/CD platforms (GitLab CI/CD, DAST, Jenkins, Azure DevOps); automated deployment tools (Ansible, Terraform); automated testing frameworks (Selenium, pytest, JUnit); security scanning tools (SCAP, Nessus, SonarQube); performance testing tools (Apache JMeter, LoadRunner); monitoring dashboards (Prometheus, Grafana); bug tracking systems (Jira, Azure DevOps); documentation repositories (Confluence, SharePoint)., * DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on the IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within six months of the assignment.

Work Environment:

  • Location:Pope Army Airfield, NC
  • On-site expectations: Full-time on-site presence required for equipment management and asset tracking
  • Travel:May require occasional travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites for logistics coordination and facility assessments

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role supporting a DoD customer at the CCMD level;
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with a BS/BA or 3 years' experience with a MS/MA or 0 years' experience with a PhD. or 9 years' with a HS Diploma/equivalent or 7 years' with AS/AA degree
  • A current, active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level
  • US citizenship is required
  • DoD 8140 role for WRC: 451; Element: IT; Work Role: System Administrator; Proficiency Level: Intermediate / Ability to obtain
