Job description
The Lead, IT AEP Readiness & Regulatory Programs is accountable for driving and coordinating all major readiness initiatives across the AEP Readiness team, including AEP, BID, STARS, and CMS Audit NPY Readiness. This leadership role ensures that IT systems, processes, and teams are fully prepared to support high visibility, compliance driven, and time sensitive business and regulatory activities. The Lead collaborates closely with business partners, technology teams, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure aligned execution, operational excellence, and audit readiness., * Lead and manage IT readiness activities across AEP, BID, STARS, and CMS Audit NPY programs, ensuring milestones are met and deliverables are completed on time.
- Develop, maintain, and manage detailed program plans, timelines, and readiness documentation; track performance and proactively escalate risks and issues.
- Act as the primary IT liaison to business units, regulatory teams, and key stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication and alignment.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to system stability, change management, operational readiness, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee incident response and change control processes, including freeze-period governance, to ensure business continuity and compliance with internal/external standards.
- Support strategic planning and roadmap development for readiness activities, operational improvements, and long-term program evolution.
- Lead post-program reviews and lessons-learned activities, driving continuous improvement and operational maturity.
- Create and deliver executive-level reporting, including dashboards, status summaries, program health indicators, and readiness updates.
- Ensure adherence to IT, business, and regulatory requirements, maintaining compliance across all readiness and audit-related activities.
Manage contractors and external partners, ensuring quality and accountability for program-critical work., * WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
- A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
- Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
- A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in IT program management, IT operations, or technology leadership roles.
- Proven experience leading large-scale, high-stakes, compliance-driven programs, preferably within healthcare or regulated industries.
- Strong understanding of IT service management, change management, incident response, and operational readiness.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and collaborate across diverse business and technical teams.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.Experience with AEP, BID, STARS, CMS Audit, and related NPY Readiness cycles.
- Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow.
- Working knowledge of CMS requirements and healthcare regulatory standards.
Benefits & conditions
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$117,600 - $161,700 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
