Job description
- Assess systems, determine issues, and provide effective solutions to technical problems.
- Design, upgrade, and maintain systems while brainstorming potential improvements for future capabilities.
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, management, and IT staff during system creation, implementation, and maintenance.
- Develop and implement control features to ensure systems meet organizational quality standards.
- Conduct quality control procedures to ensure systems are efficient, reliable, and operational.
- Perform cost-benefit analyses to develop cost-efficient solutions for projects.
Requirements
- Education: BS in Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited college or university. One academic year in a related post-secondary program may substitute for one year of experience. Two years of industry experience may substitute for one year of DoD experience (up to two years credit).
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of systems engineering experience supporting DoD programs.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving, system design, collaboration, and quality control skills; ability to perform cost-benefit analyses and recommend system improvements.
