- Coordinate with external laboratories for outsourced testing requirements, from quotation to supervision.
- Analyze test data to refine product proposals and ensure alignment with engineering specifications.
- Craft detailed test procedures and reports, upholding rigorous testing standards.
- Collaborate with design engineers to prepare for tests, including resource allocation, equipment setup, and procedural development.
- Facilitate test execution and manage test safety protocols.
- Manage data recording tools and software development for test measurements.
- Ensure compliance with test plans and regulatory guidelines, meticulously documenting all test activities.
Requirements
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Test Engineer with a robust background in designing and operating pneumatic test equipment for aircraft components and systems. This role is ideal for a professional who excels in a laboratory or manufacturing setting and is adept at creating, controlling, and measuring various test conditions., * Bachelor's degree in engineering, complemented by at least 5 years of test engineering experience.
- Proficiency in LabVIEW, MATlab, Python, VBA, or similar data acquisition software.
- Demonstrable experience in managing test equipment within a testing environment.
- Competency in SOLIDWORKS or equivalent CAD software.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, coupled with outstanding communication abilities.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Background in aerospace or automotive testing with a focus on development and certification of mechanical or electrical hardware.
- Familiarity with ASTM, SAE, or FMVSS testing standards and documentation.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical test equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering stations, and tensile testing machines.
Physical Requirements:
- Capability to engage in physical activities including lifting up to 25lbs regularly and 70lbs occasionally, pushing, pulling, and maintaining prolonged periods of standing.
