Sr Backend Engineer

You will lead the design and implementation of backend systems, with a focus on scalability, performance, and security, owning the full lifecycle from concept to production. The role is highly cross-functional, partnering closely with Product, Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales, and reports directly to the Head of AI. It offers high visibility, autonomy, and strong growth potential as the company scales.

• Strong backend experience with Python (Django), Go, and GraphQL
• Solid expertise in PostgreSQL (schema design, query optimization, migrations)
• Experience with Redis or similar caching tools
• Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, S3, ECS, RDS, Kinesis)
• Familiarity with Terraform (IaC)
• Experience with serverless and microservices architectures
• Proficiency with Docker and containerized environments
• Strong experience building RESTful APIs
• Ability to optimize systems for performance and scalability
• Experience with event-driven systems (e.g., SQS, RabbitMQ)
• Understanding of concurrency in Python/Go
• Familiarity with background processing tools (e.g., Step Functions, Celery)
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog)
• Knowledge of authentication and security best practices (OAuth, JWT)
