Job description
A GIS (Geographic Information System) Technician is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and managing geographic data for use in GIS applications.
They work closely with GIS analysts and other professionals to ensure that spatial data is accurate, up-to-date, and meets the needs of the organization. Responsibilities may include
Requirements
Do you have experience in MicroStation?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Attention to detail, the ability to work independently, good communication, and teamwork skills.
Experience using ESRI GWD ArcMap and ArcCatolog.
Design experience with Esri's ArcGIS Geographic Information System (GIS) ArcMap/ArcSchematics, knowledge related to the electric utility industry, design experience with MicroStation.
Education Level/Type:
Bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, Smallworld or a related field. OR Strong certifications surrounding GIS/GWD.
Specific Experience: Technical/Software
Strong technical skills, including proficiency in GIS software and databases
Experience using ESRI GIS/GWD ArcMap and ArcCatolog
Experience using ESRI GIS/GWD ArcSchematics, * Bachelor's (Required)
Experience:
- ESRI GWD ArcMap and ArcCatolog.: 4 years (Preferred)
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Bethesda, MD 20817
