Principal Elasticsearch Systems Engineer

• 3+ years of experience with Elasticsearch Administration.\n
• Direct experience maintaining and integrating Elasticsearch within an operational enterprise information system.\n
• Experience working in an Agile development environment and tempo.\n
• Experience with deploying and using Elasticsearch in Commercial Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).\n
• Bachelor's with 12 or more years of relevant experience or a Master's with 10 or more years of relevant experience. Will consider additional work experience in lieu of a degree.\n
• TS/SCI with Poly is required for consideration.\n

This role will provide support for a large enterprise Elasticsearch deployment. This role requires providing design, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting support in the Elastic environments in both cloud (AWS) and on prem. This role will also collaborate with architecture, engineering, development, and operations teams; ensuring production scalability and stability while maintaining data integrity.\n \n \nJob Responsibilities\n \n \n

• Maintain Elasticsearch clusters in a cloud-based environment across multiple availability zones.\n
• Ensure Elasticsearch clusters run under optimal conditions.\n
• Evaluate and optimize Elasticsearch clusters, including configuration parameters, indexing, search, query performance tuning, security, and administration.\n
• Maintain infrastructure to ensure performance and data integrity.\n
• Keep Elasticsearch clusters upgraded, as permitted by the applications reliant on them.\n
