Job description
Our client in the utilities industry is seeking an experienced SAP Integration Technical Lead to design, implement, and manage enterprise integration solutions across SAP and non-SAP environments. This individual will serve as the technical authority for integration architecture and delivery, ensuring secure, scalable, and standards-aligned data exchange across platforms.
This role requires strong expertise with SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI) , API-led integration strategies, event-driven architectures, and enterprise middleware technologies., Integration Leadership & Governance
- Lead end-to-end integration initiatives across SAP and non-SAP systems
- Serve as the primary integration point of contact for business stakeholders, vendors, and system integrators
- Establish and enforce enterprise integration standards, naming/versioning conventions, and lifecycle governance
- Translate business requirements into integration contracts, technical designs, and SLAs
- Facilitate design reviews, acceptance criteria alignment, and UAT coordination
Solution Design & Development
- Design, develop, and deploy iFlows using SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI)
- Implement integrations using REST, SOAP, OData, SFTP/FTP, IDoc, RFC/Proxy, JMS, and AMQP
- Develop reusable integration assets including templates, schemas, and policy sets
- Apply API-led and event-driven architecture patterns
Technical Integration Engineering
- Develop Groovy scripts for mappings, validations, routing, and exception handling
- Work with XML, JSON, CSV, XSLT, and message transformation frameworks
- Implement integration patterns including pub/sub, request/reply, orchestration, async messaging, and scatter-gather
API Management & Security
- Publish and manage APIs using SAP API Management
- Implement OAuth2, JWT, API keys, mTLS, caching, traffic shaping, and quota enforcement
- Ensure secure handling of PII and sensitive enterprise data
Monitoring, Support & Optimization
- Provide L2/L3 integration support and perform root cause analysis
- Monitor integrations using CPI monitoring tools and SAP Cloud ALM / Solution Manager
- Optimize performance, throughput, and latency
- Manage CPEA consumption and optimize service plans for cost efficiency
Documentation & DevOps Enablement
- Maintain interface catalogs, sequence diagrams, runbooks, and operational documentation
- Manage transports using BTP Transport Management Service (TMS), CTS+, and gCTS
- Support CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
- Implement automated regression and API testing using Postman or ReadyAPI
Requirements
Do you have experience in XSLT?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field
- 7+ years of hands-on SAP and non-SAP integration experience
- Strong experience designing and deploying integrations with SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI)
- Experience with REST, SOAP, OData, SFTP/FTP, XML, JSON, XSLT, JMS, and AMQP
- Working knowledge of SAP integration models including IDoc, BAPI, ALE, Proxy, CDS, and Business Events
- Strong Groovy scripting experience (ABAP integration experience preferred)
- Experience with SAP Cloud Connector, Destinations, XSUAA, OAuth2, and SAML authentication
- Strong troubleshooting skills using CPI monitoring and message tracing tools
- Excellent communication skills working across technical and business teams
