Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join their technology team and help design scalable systems that support innovative healthcare solutions. This role will bridge long-term business vision with technical strategy and play a key role in building and optimizing enterprise healthcare platforms.

This position requires strong healthcare operational experience and hands-on knowledge of Epic systems, particularly within population health environments.

Our client's Solution Architects are technology leaders responsible for designing scalable, enterprise-level systems that support healthcare innovation and operational efficiency. This role connects long-term organizational vision with business and technical strategy to deliver high-impact platforms and solutions.

Solution Architects leverage deep knowledge of distributed systems, software architecture, and healthcare technologies to develop and implement solutions that enhance the capabilities of healthcare providers and healthcare systems.

This role is responsible for designing and developing high-priority initiatives by leveraging enterprise IT portfolio knowledge to ensure efficient and sustainable system configurations. Solution Architects collaborate closely with business stakeholders, leadership, and technical teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

Additionally, the role supports software development oversight to ensure architectural standards and quality expectations are met, while ensuring seamless integration of new and existing systems and maintaining data integrity across platforms., * Determine effective software design strategies that support innovation and organizational growth

  • Translate leadership and business requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Lead architectural discussions and provide technical guidance on design decisions
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams
  • Evaluate emerging healthcare technologies and industry trends
  • Identify risks within projects and develop mitigation strategies
  • Provide technical solutions to complex design challenges
  • Develop architecture documentation including design steps, integration workflows, and testing procedures
  • Gather and analyze business and technical requirements
  • Translate customer needs into functional and technical deliverables
  • Support multi-year technology roadmaps and strategic initiatives
  • Ensure seamless integration between new and existing systems
  • Maintain accountability for end-user satisfaction and solution performance
  • Mentor colleagues through knowledge sharing and effective communication
  • Maintain transparency and alignment across IS requests and initiatives

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of healthcare operational experience, including collaboration with analysts and leadership teams

  • 3-5 years of Epic experience (required)

  • Epic Population Health experience strongly preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of healthcare information systems experience with knowledge of integration technologies

  • Strong understanding of healthcare system software within enterprise IT ecosystems

  • Proven ability to analyze complex problems and design scalable solutions

  • Experience measuring project success using key performance indicators

  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills

  • Ability to build strong relationships across technical and non-technical teams

  • Experience with technical leadership and project management

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience performing workflow and data analysis including needs assessment and gap analysis

  • Proficiency with information systems tools such as Microsoft Office

  • Bachelor's degree OR Associate degree plus 7 years of relevant experience, * Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect

  • TOGAF 9 Certified

  • Epic Certification
