Experience building and managing data streaming teams utilizing an event driven architecture and Kafka

Partner with product management and engineering leadership to define the platform roadmap that enables the next generation of identity products. Lead planning, execution, and delivery of data platform services.

Drive improvements on aspects such as test automation, code quality, and performance and cost efficiency

Requirements
- Experience developing scalable distributed systems, APIs, microservices for SaaS products
- 3+ years of experience managing a geo-dispersed software engineering team
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others, across organizational boundaries and despite differences in priorities
- Experience hiring and mentoring top technical talent at different experience levels
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively interface with business, executive, and technical teams
- Outstanding quality orientation and a demonstrated ability to build and lead a high-performance team
- Technical leadership experience in design, implementation, and support of platform services that are highly reliable, extensible, and scalable. You can apply good judgment to the steepest of software engineering challenges
- Experience with agile software development balanced with enterprise software customer needs
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, high-growth company and are comfortable with putting systems in place and adjusting and adapting when needed

Benefits & conditions
Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, Illinois, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington is between: $207,000 - $284,000 USD
