Job description

Peraton is hiring a Test Coordination Systems Engineer to support a mission-critical High Performance Computing (HPC) program of national importance. This cutting-edge program encompasses everything from HPC test planning and execution, to architecture design, prototyping, and vendor collaboration. Technical areas span commercial cloud technologies, HPC, and enterprise architecture directly supporting the success of U.S. national security objectives.

As a Systems Engineer on this program, you will:

  • Monitor systems test activities associated with HPC system capability activities.
  • Prepare and review compliance matrix associated with test activities.
  • Coordinate the integrated test schedule across stakeholders.
  • Represent the HPC program equities at HPC capability stakeholder test meetings.
  • Monitor HPC contracts testing requirements to ensure compliance by vendors and that appropriate annotations are recorded in program documentation as test events are successfully concluded.

Requirements

  • Required Education and Experience:
  • A High School Diploma or GED plus twelve (12) years of general systems engineering experience, OR
  • A Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus seven (7) years of systems engineering experience, OR
  • A Master's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus five (5) years of systems engineering experience, OR
  • A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus three (3) years of systems engineering experience.
  • Position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Polygraph must have been completed in the last 5 years.

Desired Qualifications:

  • While experience as a tester is not required, a basic understanding of the purpose and function of various types of testing (Unit tests, integration tests, regression tests, and operational acceptance tests) is essential.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Benefits & conditions

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
