Job description
You will own all plant-facing IT services supervising staff, budgets, and complex projects while partnering with global engineering hubs to roll out next-gen manufacturing systems (MOM/MES). Your leadership will directly boost uptime, quality, and cost savings, positioning you as a recognized change agent within a culture that prizes Kaizen and data-driven decisions., * Lead, mentor, and scale an on-site IT team supporting 24/7 production.
- Set vision, KPIs, and professional development plans aligned with corporate objectives.
- Own system reliability, capacity planning, incident escalation, and root-cause elimination.
- Drive Kaizen events to streamline workflows, improve user experience, and cut waste.
- Manage annual IT budget; forecast spend, track ROI, and champion cost-optimization.
- Coordinate with global counterparts (Japan, Americas, EMEA) on standards, releases, and shared innovations.
- Champion ITSM best practices and enforce security/compliance mandates.
- Translate complex technical issues into executive-level updates and business cases.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical troubleshooting support?, * 5+ years of IT leadership in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven success with MES/MOM, plant-floor networks, and high-availability systems.
- Budget ownership, vendor negotiation, and cross-functional program management experience.
- A passion for continuous improvement and developing future leaders., * Team supervision, coaching, and performance management.
- Manufacturing operations knowledge (lean, six sigma, or Kaizen certification a plus).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and project-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for all organizational levels.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and modern collaboration tools.
Other Skills:
- ITSM / ITIL awareness and ticketing systems.
- Exposure to application development or DevOps pipelines.
- Bilingual English/Japanese preferred but not required.
