Job description

We are seeking a Systems Integration & Test Engineer to support F22/ F-35 modernization efforts across mission-system capability integration and system-level validation. In this role, you'll perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and conduct cost, risk, and supportability analyses for end-to-end system lifecycles-from concept and design to deployment and disposal.

You will work in advanced hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) integration labs, performing software loads, hardware/software integration, system performance evaluations, patching, regression testing, and documentation of system behavior. This position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently after initial onboarding.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical planning, requirements analysis, system integration, verification and validation for complete system lifecycles.
  • Translate customer or product requirements into functional hardware and software specifications.
  • Perform system-level testing in HIL environments for F-35 modernization programs.
  • Execute software loads on avionics hardware and apply software patches for system updates.
  • Conduct system security, performance assessments, and regression testing.
  • Document results through after-action reports and system problem reports.
  • Collaborate with mission systems, vehicle systems, weapons, and lab engineering teams to support capability maturation and integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Engineering or Computer Science preferred).
  • Experience with aircraft mission systems or avionics integration.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after initial training., * Active or recent F-35 Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
  • Experience performing software loads on avionics or mission-system hardware.
  • Proficiency in applying software patches and troubleshooting hardware/software integration issues.
  • Familiarity with Mission Systems Integration Labs.
  • Experience collaborating with Aero engineering teams (MS, VS, Weapons, Labs, etc.).
  • Experience with mission-planning systems or environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
