Job description

As a senior member of our team, you'll be a technical linchpin, bridging the gap between our domestic Product, Analyst, and Customer Success teams part of our cloud engineering team.

The Mission

Your goal is to design, build, and optimize a modern data ecosystem. We operate in a hybrid environment where legacy stability meets cutting-edge flexibility. You'll be responsible for ensuring our data is performant, compliant (especially within the nuances of the Insurance industry), and ready for both human analysis and machine learning models.

What You'll Do

  • Data Modeling and Architecture: Architect and build robust, consistent, and non-redundant Dimensional Models within the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) to solve specific business use cases, ensuring optimal performance for PowerBI consumption.

  • ETL/ELT Pipeline Development: Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines, leveraging Matillion and ADF for orchestration, and PySpark for intricate data transformations.

  • Data Ecosystem Management: Manage and optimize the data footprint across key platforms, including MS SQL Server, Snowflake, and the MS Fabric environment.

  • Innovate with AI: Integrate AI tools (Copilots, LLM-based automation, or predictive features) into our data workflows to increase efficiency and data quality.

  • Collaborate Globally: Work closely with our Global Development Centers to ensure architectural consistency while acting as a primary technical partner for Product and Customer Success teams.

Requirements

  • Expert SQL & Python: You can write complex queries in your sleep and build robust, modular scripts in Python/PySpark.

  • Cloud Data Platforms: Deep experience with Snowflake (warehousing) and MS Fabric (the future).

  • ETL/ELT Mastery: Proven track record with Matillion or similar cloud-native orchestration tools.

  • Big Data Savvy: You know how to handle high-volume, high-velocity data without breaking the bank or the server.

  • AI Fluency: You aren't just curious about AI; you're actively using AI tools to speed up development or enhance data insights.

The "Nice-to-Haves" (The Secret Sauce):

  • Insurance Domain Knowledge: Experience with policy, claims, or underwriting data is a massive plus. You understand the difference between a premium and a loss ratio.

  • Remote Pro: You've mastered the art of asynchronous communication and thrive in a US-Remote environment.

Who You Are

  • A Technical Diplomat: You can explain a "partitioning strategy" to an engineer and "data reliability" to a Customer Success Manager with equal ease.

  • Problem Solver: You don't just fix bugs; you find the root cause and build a system so it never happens again.

  • Continuous Learner: The data landscape changes every six months. You're the person who's already experimenting with the latest MS Fabric features or Python libraries., * Minimum 8 years experience

  • Engineering or BS degree

Benefits & conditions

Design and optimize data ecosystems, develop ETL pipelines using Matillion and ADF, manage data across platforms, integrate AI tools, and collaborate globally to ensure data reliability and performance. The summary above was generated by AI, This opportunity is expected to remain posted through the date identified below, subject to business needs.
