Job description
We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager - Ecommerce to lead end-to-end delivery of ecommerce projects across web and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in ecommerce technologies, hands-on experience managing cross-functional teams, and the ability to drive projects from requirement gathering to go-live and post-launch support. This role requires close coordination with clients, developers, UI/UX designers, QA teams, and DevOps to ensure seamless execution and high-quality delivery. Location- Houston, TX (Hybrid ), Project Planning & Execution
- Lead full ecommerce project lifecycle (Discovery Development Testing Deployment Hypercare).
- Define scope, milestones, timelines, and resource planning.
- Ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Identify risks and proactively manage mitigation plans.
Technical Oversight
- Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms such as:
- Shopify
- Magento / Adobe Commerce
- WooCommerce
- Custom PHP / .NET ecommerce solutions
- Oversee integrations with:
- Payment gateways (Razorpay, Stripe, PayPal, etc.)
- ERP/CRM systems
- Shipping & logistics APIs
- Third-party marketplaces
- Ensure performance optimization, security compliance, and scalability.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Conduct requirement gathering sessions and create BRDs/User Stories.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients.
- Manage weekly stakeholder meetings and project reporting.
- Handle escalations and change requests effectively.
Agile & Delivery Management
- Drive Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
- Manage sprint planning, backlog grooming, and task allocation.
- Track velocity, burn-down charts, and release planning.
- Ensure smooth production deployments and release management.
Quality & Performance Monitoring
- Ensure UAT coordination and defect tracking.
- Monitor site performance metrics (page load time, conversion rate, uptime).
- Oversee SEO, security (SSL, PCI compliance basics), and scalability readiness
Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical project management?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 6+ years of IT experience with 2-4 years in managing ecommerce projects.
- Hands-on experience with Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, or custom ecommerce platforms.
- Strong knowledge of:
- APIs & third-party integrations
- Database concepts (SQL)
- Hosting & cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
- Agile tools like JIRA/DevOps
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills., * Experience managing multi-store or multi-country ecommerce platforms.
- Knowledge of CRO, analytics (Google Analytics, GA4).
- Experience in retail, supply chain, or D2C brands.
- PMP / Scrum certification.
