Job description
What You'll Do:
- Platform Engineering & Cloud Architecture (60%): Architect, build, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS). Coordinate with Platform Engineering and DevOps to establish secure deployment routes, manage infrastructure as code (IaC), and oversee CI/CD pipelines.
- Data Architecture & Movement: Design and manage data integrations, robust ETL pipelines, and NoSQL/SQL database schemas (e.g., Firestore, BigQuery) to support complex data ingestion, movement, and intelligent applications.
- Application Development & AI Integration (40%): Act as the hands-on technical lead to build intelligent applications and APIs. Develop rapid prototypes and proofs-of-concept integrating Generative AI (Google Vertex AI, OpenAI) to validate new business ideas.
- Operationalization & Scale: Transition successful prototypes into maintainable production solutions, ensuring high performance, proper logging, and architectural reliability.
- Cross-Functional Teaming & Agile Leadership: Collaborate across engineering, data science, product, and business stakeholders. Drive agile development processes by creating user stories, defining Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and establishing standard code-branching strategies.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in solutions engineering, cloud architecture, software development, or a related technical role.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Strong Platform & Cloud Experience: Deep understanding of cloud environments (GCP, AWS). Proven experience working with DevOps, implementing CI/CD deployment pipelines, and using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- Data Engineering Expertise: Proven experience with data movement, organization, and integration, including building ETL pipelines and working with NoSQL databases (e.g., Firestore) and data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery).
- Software Development Skills: Strong programming fundamentals with an emphasis on web and AI-driven application development (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, or C#) and experience developing and consuming modern RESTful APIs.
- Applied AI Integration: Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and hands-on experience integrating with platforms like Google Vertex AI or OpenAI, including practical knowledge of prompt management and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work independently in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: curious, inventive, and comfortable designing in unstructured spaces while being focused on delivering results.
Preferred:
- Experience with enterprise systems relevant to media (e.g., CRM, ERP, scheduling and traffic systems, digital audio distribution, and broadcast technology).
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience managing technical workflows in Jira.
