Job description
1.1 Responding to any emergency or potential emergency.
1.2 Security diligence, including maintaining control of personal key cards, preventing unauthorized entry into the facility by non-Berry employees, and proper maintenance / security of Berry information and equipment within your direct responsibility.
1.3 Constant vigilance and participation in Safety and Food Safety policies, practices and procedures.
1.4 Prevent nonconforming products from being shipped to customers.
1.5 Identify and record problems relating to products, processes and quality system.
2.0 Authority, including but not limited to:
2.1 Initiate action to prevent occurrences of any non-conformity of product or quality systems.
2.2 Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
2.3 Suggest actions for continual improvement to products, processes, or systems and verify the implementation of solutions.
3.0 Primary Duties, including but not limited to:
3.1 Observe all Safety, Food Safety and Plant rules/requirements to prevent injury to self or others and to prevent loss of material or damage to equipment.
3.2 Follow and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
3.3 Maintain good housekeeping and 5S.
3.4 Collect samples at scheduled intervals from each assigned machine. Perform the necessary quality testing procedure on samples. Utilize tools, gauges and other inspection equipment to obtain production data on the closures.
3.5 Accurately record information consistent with the department format.
3.6 Communicate with mold technicians, machine operators, shift coordinators, etc. in an effort to run a consistent project.
3.7 Follow all department procedures with respect to routine daily assignments. Maintain all workstation areas in a neat and orderly manner.
Requirements
4.1 Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting 50 lbs. 5-7 days a week.
4.2 Maintain an attendance record within company guidelines and working required overtime.
4.3 High school diploma or GED equivalency. Read, write and speak English.
4.4 Past experience / proven ability within the specified disciplines. Negative drug screen test results.
4.5 Basic Computer skills, Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
4.6 Pass a written basic skills test and quality skills test with a score of 85% or better.
4.7 Capable of being consistently accurate and making quality-related decisions within guidelines.
4.8 Capable of differentiating between colors and shades of color.
4.9 Must work well with others.
4.10 Capable of making quality-related decisions within departmental guidelines.
