Senior DevOps Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Senior DevOps Cloud Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable cloud infrastructure solutions. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in cloud architecture, automation, and IT infrastructure to optimize deployment pipelines, enhance system reliability, and drive innovation across our cloud platforms. Your proactive approach will ensure our systems are secure, efficient, and aligned with best practices in DevOps and cloud computing., * Architect and develop robust cloud infrastructure solutions utilizing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, Rackspace, and OpenStack to meet diverse business needs.

• Automate deployment processes using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Jenkins, and PowerShell to streamline continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
• Manage virtualization environments including VMware, Citrix, and Docker containers to optimize resource utilization and system flexibility.
• Implement system hardening techniques and security protocols to safeguard cloud infrastructure against threats while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices architectures, and web services using languages such as JavaScript, Python, Go, Java, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, and .NET.
• Monitor system performance using tools like Git, Nagios or similar platforms; troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with development teams following Agile methodologies to support application development lifecycle (SDLC) and ensure seamless deployment of SaaS and PaaS solutions.
• Design scalable database solutions with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server or NoSQL databases like Cassandra for high availability data management.
• Enhance system security through network configuration including VPNs; implement system hardening practices across Linux/Unix/Windows environments.
• Lead efforts in cloud architecture planning for Internet of Things (IoT) projects and microservices deployments while maintaining a focus on scalability and reliability.

Do you have experience in Python?, * Extensive experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, Rackspace or OpenStack.

• Deep understanding of virtualization technologies including VMware, Citrix XenServer or similar systems.
• Proficiency in containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes for orchestrating microservices architectures.
• Strong scripting skills using Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell or Python for automation tasks.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet.
• Knowledge of web services standards including RESTful APIs; experience with API development is a plus.
• Familiarity with database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle Database or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure components such as operating systems (Linux/Unix/Windows), network protocols (VPN), and system security practices.
• Experience working within Agile development environments supporting software deployment pipelines (CI/CD).
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to cloud architecture, virtualization or application deployment efficiently.
