Job description
We are seeking an experienced and pragmatic Director, IT to lead the technology strategy and operations for our rapidly growing global consulting organization. This role reports to the Senior Director, HR & Operations and is responsible for developing and executing the company's internal IT growth strategy, ensuring secure and scalable infrastructure, managing IT integration of acquired entities, and overseeing the selection and management of external IT service providers.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with strategic thinking, operational discipline, and vendor management experience. This individual will serve as the internal IT lead, ensuring systems, security, and support structures evolve alongside organizational growth.
Responsibilities
IT Strategy & Growth Planning
- Develop and execute a scalable IT strategy aligned with company growth and global expansion, including integration of IT systems across multiple recently acquired business units
- Assess current systems and infrastructure; identify gaps and recommend improvements
- Lead technology roadmap planning, budgeting, and investment prioritization
- Ensure infrastructure supports remote, hybrid, and global workforce needs
- Provide technical leadership and oversight for enterprise system implementations, including NetSuite, ensuring successful deployment aligned with business requirements
Information Security & Risk Management
- Lead company-wide cybersecurity strategy and awareness initiatives
- Ensure implementation of best practices for data security, access controls, and compliance
- Oversee incident response planning and remediation efforts
- Manage system audits, risk assessments, and security training programs
Vendor Selection & Management
- Evaluate, select, and contract with external IT service providers
- Serve as primary point of accountability for outsourced IT partners
- Establish SLAs, KPIs, and performance metrics for external providers
- Proactively monitor vendor performance, security posture, and responsiveness
- Conduct periodic reviews to assess provider effectiveness and cost efficiency
Infrastructure & Systems Oversight
- Oversee management of company devices, identity management systems, cloud platforms, and collaboration tools
- Ensure proper provisioning, onboarding, and offboarding processes
- Evaluate and implement enterprise software solutions
- Maintain business continuity and disaster recovery planning
Operational Support & Governance
- Partner with HR and Operations on systems supporting workforce management
- Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and documentation
- Manage IT budgets and cost controls
- Provide executive-level reporting on IT performance, risks, and initiatives
Requirements
Do you have experience in Vendor relationship management?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)

7+ years of progressive IT experience, including vendor management

Experience in a professional services or consulting environment strongly preferred

Demonstrated experience managing external IT providers

Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and cloud-based infrastructure

Experience supporting a distributed/global workforce

Demonstrated experience leading or overseeing ERP implementations, preferably NetSuite, with sufficient technical expertise to guide system architecture, integrations, and deployment
