Job description
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Security Specialist to join our team! In this role you will assist the Facility Security Officer in administering and managing the Parsons Huntsville Security Program, specifically for support of security correspondence for multiple programs, providing policies, plans, procedures, departmental instructions, and technical support of safeguards and security (S&S) programs to protect client security interests.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop security correspondence for multiple programs (or customers).
- Implement security policy and procedures and assist with the management of other security team daily functions.
- Manage the processing of security clearance paperwork, including collection and review of relevant documents and information for completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
- Maintain personnel security records and databases, including quality assurance and control of the fingerprinting process.
- Ensure compliance with all security requirements for the marking, handling, and safeguarding of classified information received and stored within the facility, to include both information and physical security policy and procedures.
- Execute visitor control functions to include processing of incoming and outgoing visit requests and verifying incoming visitor identification, prior to allowing access to classified information.
- Verify preparation of essential reports, troubleshooting industrial security issues, and providing assistance in resolving all concerns and queries from government agencies and company management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant facility security experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
- Must have a Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility preferred
- Secret will be considered
- Must be able to pass a CI Poly
- Will have knowledge of both the work processes of document control and also the use of electronic systems used to manage documentation
- Experience with incoming and outgoing foreign visits
- Experience in executing National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) requirements
- Must be a US Citizen

Physical Requirements:
Occasionally lift and carry up to 50lbs (pounds).
Security Clearance Requirement: An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $74,800.00 - $130,900.00
