Job description
As a Hardware Engineer, you'll play a critical role in configuring, validating, and optimizing hardware solutions tailored to customer needs. You'll collaborate with engineering, sales, and supply chain teams to bring cutting-edge data center hardware from concept to production., * Review and provide feedback on customers' design and technical requirements
- Collaborate with Sales and Field Engineering on server, rack, and networking integration at the BOM level.
- Lead first article builds and manages production documentation (BOM validation, hardware optimization, engineering instructions).
- Provide technical input to designers, engineering, and other team members to help drive compelling new ideas forward.
- Work closely with Engineering, Technical Program Management, Supply Chain and Purchasing to ensure a smooth transition from NPI to mass production products.
- Coordinate ECN/ECO processes in internal and external PLM systems.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
Hyve Solutions is looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on, results-driven individual with proven communication skills and a strong work ethic to work in a challenging, fast-paced, energetic environment., * Bachelor's degree in engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical preferred) or equivalent experience.
- 8-10+ years of working experience as a Hardware Engineer with deep understanding of rack architecture, network gear (switches, optics, cables), and power/cooling technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Experience with Wiki/Project tacking software (Confluence, JIRA) and PLM systems (Agile or similar) is a plus.
- Experience working in the manufacturing environment or partnered with ODM/OEM to develop and launch new products
- Willingness to travel (5%+ domestic/international).
