Job description
The Sr. Software Test Engineer is part of our R&D Software Verification and Validation group within our Critical Care business unit and will play a critical role in the testing of our IoT framework and our internal software systems. These are medical devices that provide surgical teams a comprehensive view of a patients' hemodynamic parameters during medical procedures., * Improve BD products by developing requirement-based test cases, tests, analyze results, make recommendations, and develop reports.

Requirements
In this role, you will test the software for our medical device. The ideal candidate should have a passion for breaking the design, is highly motivated, can collaborate with cross-functional teams, and is technically adept., * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Scientific field is required
Required Experience:
- 5+ years' software testing with windows/Linux application
- 5+ years experience Python scripting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within a regulated industry (Medical Device strongly preferred)
Additional Skills:
- Experience with continuous integration tools (ie Jenkins, DevOps)
- Understand and apply testing concepts like adhoc and exploratory testing
- Solid understanding of STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle)
- Good computer skills in usage of MS Office Suite
- Good documentation, communication (e.g., written and verbal) and interpersonal relationship skills including consultative and relationship management skills
- Basic understanding of statistical techniques
- Solid understanding and knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts relevant to Engineering
- Solid problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Solid understanding of processes and equipment used in assigned work
- Strict attention to detail
- Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work in a team environment, including the ability to manage vendors and project stakeholders
- Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships
- Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
