Job description
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to serve as Tech Lead for several of the Insights team's flagship initiatives. In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of several large-scale product and monetization initiatives, guiding projects from concept through delivery. You will play a critical role in shaping the team's technical roadmap, ensuring architectural soundness, scalability, and long-term impact.
You will take on the following responsibilities:
- Drive technical strategy, delivering impactful solutions today while positioning for long-term innovation.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with business, product, and modeling partners to enhance and optimize our platforms.
- Take on broader leadership responsibilities, helping shape the team's growth, capabilities, and long-term trajectory.
- Mentor and coach engineers, fostering both technical mastery and professional growth.
- Champion team culture and engineering best practices, fostering an environment of curiosity, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience required; 7-15 years of experience in software engineering preferred
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with a modern web framework, preferably React
- Demonstrated leadership in driving large, cross-functional engineering initiatives, including influencing technical direction and fostering collaboration across teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work constructively with product, research, and business partners.
- Track record of building and operating large-scale, customer-facing applications and platforms; experience in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) is desirable.

The base pay for this role will be between $165,000 and $325,000. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans and 401(k) contributions. Discretionary bonus can be a significant portion of total compensation. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
