Job description

The company is seeking a highly skilled Palantir Data Engineer to support mission-critical Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) and wildfire mitigation programs. This role involves designing and maintaining data pipelines, ontologies, and analytical assets within Palantir Foundry to enable real time situational awareness, operational decision-making, and regulatory reporting. The engineer will play a key role in supporting PSPS activation workflows, wildfire risk modeling, and operational readiness. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Foundry Pipeline Builder and Code Workbooks. Build and manage Foundry Ontologies (Object Types, Link Types, Properties) to support PSPS workflows, wildfire risk models, and operational dashboards. Implement ETL/ELT transformations using Python, PySpark, and SQL for geospatial, meteorological, and grid asset datasets. Integrate and validate data from weather stations, fire risk models, grid sensors, asset registries, and outage management systems. Support real time PSPS decision workflows including weather forecasting, circuit de energization modeling, and customer impact analysis. Build data assets powering dashboards for EOC, Grid Operations, Wildfire Mitigation, and regulatory reporting. Ensure data lineage, quality, governance, and reliability across Foundry assets. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing Foundry pipelines and ontologies. Collaborate with wildfire mitigation SMEs, grid operations, data scientists, and emergency response teams.
