Job description
The Kodiak program seeks a 32 -hour weekly Part Time Information Review and Release Analyst based in the Tysons, Va area. The primary responsibility of this position is to research, review, and redact national security equities from various documents (electronically and/or manually), including litigation requirements supporting the Office of Military Commissions, federal courts, other executive agencies, and Congress. The right candidate for this position must have a thorough understanding of reviewing and redacting documents both electronically and/or manually. The individual will be responsible to ensure the quality and accuracy of all documents being reviewed in compliance with customer criteria and to the customer satisfaction. This individual must be proficient in Excel, possess strong research skills, work well in a team concept, and attention to detail is a must . The right candidate will perform a combination of tasks provided by the customer. The individual will review of products using the criteria of the for Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act (PA), Executive Order Mandatory Declassification Review (EOMDR) programs, and Executive Order (EO) 13526, as amended, among other criteria, review standards, special searches, internal declassification guidance provided by the customer.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have six or more years of experience reviewing and redacting classified information. Other strong candidates include Intelligence Analysts, Desk Officers, and Foreign Liaison Officers.
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution can be substituted for three years of professional experience
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, as well as experience working a team environment
Detail oriented
Substantive knowledge of general worldwide events
Knowledge of Foreign Relations, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act (PA), and Executive Order Mandatory Declassification Review (EOMDR) programs and Executive Order (EO) 13526.
Strong work ethic
Ability to identify , recommend and implement process improvements
Organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in on-line tools such as Word, Excel, and Access and customer' s electronic databases
Multitasking ability, scheduling skills
Must have an understanding of security requirements to be able to adhere to them
Knowledge of the intelligence community and other government agencies
A current TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph is mandatory
