Job description

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to SWS D444 (Strategic Weapons System Test Manager and Test Directors. This position requires administrative performance at the highest of levels including presentation development and content review; tracking and adjudicating actions to closure; internal and external correspondence and general office duties. This individual will also hold an integral role on the SWS Quality Improvement Group. This role serves as a key interface between leadership, test administration and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of critical administrative functions.

Additional Responsibilities: Coordinate preventative maintenance on SWS Systems, manage complex administrative operations supporting test execution

  • Support planning, scheduling and execution of meetings & operational activities
  • Prepare, review and distribute reports, metrics and correspondence for leadership
  • Monitor and track commitment reports, deliverables, and deadlines to ensure completion
  • Assist in development and improvement of administrative processes and work flows
  • Track employee training requirements and schedule training sessions as required

Requirements

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • 4 years of professional financial or administrative experience in an office environment

Preferred:

  • 3+ years EB experience in administrative duties

  • The candidate will be expected to actively contribute in a team environment
  • Must have a demonstrated history of accepting responsibility and independently completing assignments with minimal oversight
  • Demonstrated ability to manage program data; collecting and developing effective status reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to compile inputs from multiple sources and prepare presentations, accurately review submittals for context, and adjudicate conflicts between submittal sources
  • Demonstrated experience completing assignments of increasing responsibility and the ability to communicate effectively at the various levels of a team organization
  • Familiarity with Electric Boat's Procedure Gateway, policies and procedures, and Security Manual
  • Must possess exceptional attention to detail and have strong administrative and organizational skills
