Job description

SAIC is currently looking for a Cameo Engineer to support our Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) team located in Lakehurst, NJ. The System Engineer would be responsible for creating solutions for the integration of system level components and addressing complex problem-solving issues to integrate legacy systems with newer technologies., This opportunity is on-site at our Lakehurst, NJ location, supporting critical Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) programs.   • Ensure compatibility of functional and physical interfaces for all system elements, including hardware, software, and data.
  • Document solutions with respect to technical challenges, cost constraints, and schedules.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (engineering, logistics, manufacturing, contractors, and leadership) to address complex systems integration challenges.
  • Support system requirements management, risk management, and trade-off studies for optimal designs.
  • Participate in and support program execution activities, such as Technical Reviews, Configuration Management, and Modeling & Simulation.
  • Develop and review technical documentation, including change management materials and technical presentations.
  • Act as a key communicator between program offices, fleet personnel, and industry stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferred in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering).
  • Minimum of 2 years of systems engineering experience, including acquisition and requirements management/verification.
  • Proficiency in Cameo Systems Modeler.
  • Knowledge of Department of Navy Systems Engineering Process and SETR policy/process.
  • Ability to communicate complex systems engineering concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance is required.

PREFERED EXPERIENCE:

  • Hands-on experience with CORE or GENESYS modeling tools.
  • Production engineering experience supporting DoD acquisition documentation for major system production.
  • Familiarity with NAVAIR Systems Engineering processes.
  • Proven ability to brief technical issues to leadership, including non-technical personnel.
  • Leadership experience managing engineering teams in design, development, or manufacturing efforts.

Benefits & conditions

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
