Job description
We are seeking a Platform Administrator to own and manage an enterprise project planning and portfolio management platform used to track business cases, initiatives, financials, KPIs, and milestones. This role serves as the internal platform owner and primary administrator, working closely with an external vendor who acts as the product owner.
The ideal candidate brings a balanced skill set, equally comfortable with technical system administration and business process enablement. This role requires strong collaboration with stakeholders to understand how initiatives are planned, funded, and measured, and then translate those needs into system configuration, workflows, dashboards, and integrations.
Platform Ownership & Administration

Serve as the internal owner of the project planning and portfolio management platform

Administer and configure platform functionality supporting:

Business cases and initiative tracking

Financial data (budget, forecast, actuals)

KPIs and performance metrics
-
Milestones and delivery status
-
Manage system configuration, data structures, and platform standards
-
Design and maintain role-based access, permissions, and system controls
-
Own user provisioning, access changes, and platform governance
Vendor Partnership & Solution Delivery

Partner with the external vendor (product owner) to test, evaluate, and implement new platform features

Participate in pilots, upgrades, and new solution rollouts
-
Validate vendor-delivered capabilities against business and reporting needs
-
Act as the primary internal point of contact for vendor support and enhancements
Dashboards, Reporting & BI Integration

Build dashboards and reports within the platform to support operational and executive decision-making

Translate financial, KPI, and initiative data into clear, actionable visualizations
-
Enable and support integrations with BI tools such as Power BI
-
Ensure data quality, consistency, and usability across platform and BI outputs
Integrations & External Systems

Design and support integrations between the platform and external systems using APIs or data feeds

Support connectivity to enterprise systems such as Workday

Monitor and troubleshoot integrations and data flows

Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure reliable and scalable integrations
Business Process Enablement & Workflow Design

Learn and understand business processes related to:

Business case intake and approvals

Portfolio planning and prioritization

Financial tracking and KPI measurement

Initiative lifecycle management
-
Translate business requirements into platform configuration, workflows, and automation

Design and maintain workflows for approvals, updates, and reporting

Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams
Continuous Improvement & Support

Identify opportunities to improve platform usability, reporting, and efficiency

Provide advanced support for complex platform issues and use cases
-
Develop documentation, best practices, and user guidance to support adoption
Requirements
-
Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)
-
5+ years of experience in related field.

In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Experience as a Platform Administrator, System Administrator, or similar role
-
Strong understanding of role-based access control and system configuration
-
Experience building dashboards and reports within a platform or analytics tool
-
Ability to learn complex business processes and translate them into system solutions

Strong analytical, testing, and problem-solving skills
-
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bonus Points: (Preferred qualifications)

Experience with McKinsey Wave or similar project planning, portfolio management, or business case platforms

Healthcare industry experience or familiarity with healthcare business environments

Experience integrating with Power BI, Workday, or similar enterprise systems
