Job description
We are seeking a skilled Amazon Web Services (AWS) Mid to support the operation, maintenance, and optimization of cloud-based systems within Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments.
The candidate will play a key role in ensuring system reliability, supporting cloud infrastructure, resolving issues, and contributing to automation and monitoring efforts in a secure and mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and support AWS cloud-based systems, ensuring high availability and performance.

Coordinate with network and system administrators to ensure seamless cloud operations.

Set up and manage administrator and service accounts, including access controls and permissions.

Maintain accurate documentation for cloud infrastructure, configurations, and tenant inventory.

Monitor and tune system performance, including compute, storage, and networking resources.

Install and manage system-wide software and allocate storage resources efficiently.

Respond to large-scale cloud events, including provisioning and scaling of virtual machines and storage services.

Troubleshoot and resolve critical system and software failures in AWS environments.

Propose and implement automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and scalability.

Develop and enhance tools, dashboards, and reports to monitor cloud health and performance.

Ensure cloud operations align with security policies and compliance requirements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement of cloud services.
Requirements

Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

Minimum 4 years of experience in cloud administration, system administration, or related roles.

Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) services (EC2, S3, EBS, VPC, IAM, etc.).

Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and storage concepts.

Experience troubleshooting and resolving system and application issues in cloud environments.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, Terraform).

Familiarity with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch or similar platforms.

Knowledge of DevOps practices and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).

Understanding of cybersecurity best practices in cloud environments.

Experience working in federal or regulated environments.
Certifications:

IAT Level II required.

One or more cloud certifications (AWS preferred)
