Job description
This analyst will support a variety of Outreach systems, including ClockwiseMD, Lifepoint, Outreach Operations, and multiple EMR-to-LIS and LIS-to-LIS interfaces. This position blends production support with project-based work and plays a key role in implementing, validating, and maintaining clinical interfaces that directly impact patient care and client satisfaction., Application & Production Support

Provide day-to-day support for Outreach systems and reference laboratory interfaces to ensure stable, efficient operations.

Participate in break/fix troubleshooting, system maintenance, and scheduled support rotations.

Serve as part of an on-call rotation to support non-business hours operations.
Interface & Systems Management

Assist with the implementation, validation, and support of new Outreach client interfaces.

Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot HL7-based interfaces to support laboratory workflows.

Maintain and upgrade Outreach system hardware and software to meet operational and client needs.
End-User & Client Support

Provide application and limited hardware support to internal users and external Outreach clients.

Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to resolve issues and support system adoption.

Collaborate with internal teams and vendors during implementations and issue resolution.
Project Participation

Contribute to Outreach-related projects, including new client onboarding, system enhancements, and interface improvements.

Support documentation, testing, and validation efforts associated with new systems or changes.
Supported Applications & Platforms
ClockwiseMD
- Online check-in and virtual queuing platform used to manage patient wait times and improve patient experience across IU Health facilities.
EMR-LIS Interfaces
- Uni- and bi-directional interfaces connecting Outreach client EMRs to IU Health's Laboratory Information System.
Lifepoint
- Web-based portal used by Outreach clients to place orders, view results, and run administrative reports; also provides interface engineering services.
LIS-LIS Interfaces
- Bi-directional interfaces connecting IU Health's LIS to external reference laboratories.
Outreach Operations

Platform supporting logistics, client services, and supply distribution for Outreach clients., * Supports the systems and interfaces that allow IU Health Pathology Laboratory to deliver testing services to external hospitals, clinics, and physician offices.

Ensures Outreach applications and integrations are reliable, accurate, and responsive that directly impacts patient care and safety.

Strengthens partnerships with Outreach clients by enabling timely test ordering, result delivery, and system connectivity.

Contributes to operational efficiency and service quality across laboratory workflows and client operations.
Requirements

3-5 years of relevant experience.

Experience supporting healthcare information systems or laboratory applications.

Working knowledge of HL7 for interface configuration and troubleshooting.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).

Ability to balance production support responsibilities with project-based work.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) or clinical interfaces.

Prior experience working with external clients or outreach programs in a healthcare environment.

Familiarity with interface engines, validation workflows, or healthcare interoperability concepts.
